LazyPay announced its partnership with Airtel and Flipkart today to expand its ‘Buy now Play Later’ model. This partnership will help shoppers buying through Flipkart to get EMI option at check out. With the new development, Airtel subscribers get access to ‘buy now pay later' option when paying their bills including mobile bills and landline bills.
LazyPay launched this option in April last year. Since then the company has reported 35 % Month-on-Month growth. PayU owned payment gateway and the 'buy now pay later' option’ on apps including Swiggy, Ixigo, and BookMyShow is a great success.
This partnership aims to expand 'buy now pay later' model in India. Shoppers buying through Flipkart will get an additional EMI option for their purchase orders. Do you know, Flipkart has 'Pay Later' option that was introduced by the company for selected purchases only? Airtel customers can now make a purchase and pay their bills later.
LazyPay launched by PayU introduced an alternative paying solution in April last year. Today, this platform is used by over 100 shoppers. Their app claims to have been downloaded by more than a million people. LazyPay is expected to witness more than a million transactions/month.
LazyPay also started services like personal loans and installment loans on merchant checkout in August this year. This platform claims to have disbursed almost 6,000 loans to merchants and received 8,000-9,000 applications for personal loans on a daily basis.
According to Pallav Jain, the Head of Consumer Business, PayU India, more than a million customers are using their services in just a one and a half year span. He is glad that his team is successfully serving customers and growing every passing day.
