Xiaomi released an official teaser mentioning that the company is all set to release its smart shoes in India. The company introduced smart shoes in China in fact, first-generation Mi Smart Sneakers using brand name Mijia in 2017. The successor to this model was introduced with the title of Mijia Sneakers 2 in 2018. It is expected that the latest model that is the model that was introduced, the last year in China is expected to hit the Indian market, this year.
The company posted an official teaser image via Mi India’s Twitter account today. This picture shows a shoe with a tagline "Ready to put your best foot forward." The company has used a hashtag #BFF that means "best foot forward".
No price and the launch schedule have been disclosed by the company so far. The company won the hearts of customers by introducing '90 Minutes Ultra Smart Sportswear' under its brand Mijia. The first pair of smart shoes Mi Smart Sneakers had Intel Curie chip in order to process your fitness data. The show was available with a price tag of CNY 299 approx. Rs. 3,200.
Last year, the company launched Mijia Smart Sneakers 2 shoes with 5-in-1 uni-molding design - with a thin polyurethane film to separate the mold. The shoes contained a midsole that was epically designed using an Infuse material by DuPont. Not only this, the upper part of the shoes had a 3D design made from high-elastic knitting process.
Mijia Sneakers 2 are readily available in China for CNY 199 approx. Rs. 2,100 in different colors Black, Floral Blue, Floral Grey, and White. It is believed that all of these color options will be available in India also and the price will be similar to what we said above. Considering the previous records of the company, it can be said that the new smart shoe that will be launched in Indian will have the name Mi Sneakers 2.
