On Wednesday, Google opened applications of its "Launchpad Accelerator" the mentorship program specially designed for startups using Artificial intelligence/ Machine learning in India.
While giving a statement, Google revealed that the Applications’ last date to the program is January 31, 2019. Under this program, startups that are using AI/ML to solve country’s needs will go through an intensive in-person mentorship boot-camp in Bengaluru that will be followed by custom-tailored support for up to 3 months. According to Google, the eligible startups of the second batch will be decided in February 2019.
Paul Ravindranath, the Product Manager of Launchpad Accelerator in India said that this program will bring the best of their expertise, platforms, tools, and key-strengths including ML and AI in order to help startups develop, build, improve, and grow their business.
He further added that the first batch of the program contained experienced founders from tier-II and tier-III cities using Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence to manage the country’s needs and problems.
About the program
Each class contains up to 10 startups receiving mentorship and an ultimate support from Google in Cloud, AI/ML, UX user experience, product strategy, web, Android, and product marketing. Not only this, Startups get Google Cloud credits starting from $20,000 to $100,000. The selected startups will be eligible for boot-camp in Bengaluru in March followed by engagements over April and May in order to deal with specific challenges.
