All you need to know about Xiaomi Mi 9. Will Feature Better Charging Tech, CEO Hints

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi is now an independently running brand that has successfully grabbed the market’s attention. Redmi launched its first smartphone soon after the brand split from its mentor.

The company sold its latest Redmi Note 7 with a target of selling 1 million units of this smartphone within the first month. Powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC processor and availability at just CNY 999 (Rs. 10,300) are some of the interesting things that make this phone, the best. Not only this, the company mentioned that Note 7 supports 18W fast charging but does not come loaded with a fast charger in the standard packaging box.

When Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi was promoting Redmi Note 7 18W charger, one of the users expressed a desire to know more about the charging of upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 and asked if it will support 24W fast charging or not?  To this, Lei Jun replied that it will be "better".

More information from the sources confirms that Xiaomi Mi 9, codenamed Cepheus will be driven by Android Pie, 6GB RAM and powerful Snapdragon 855 SoC processor.

This processor from Qualcomm was launched by the company last month but has been launched on a smartphone. A couple of rumors also state that Samsung Galaxy S10 series and Sony Xperia XZ4 will have this new chipset.

Further reports state that Mi 9 will have a 6.4” AMOLED display screen with superb water-drop resistance. 3500mAh battery capacity with expected 32W fast charging without wireless charging might be the highlights of this phone.  The storage variants 6GB RAM and 128GB will make it a hit.
